I’ve always wanted to try these “ReBlog with…” things. :D

I hope I’m successful.

Wo Ai Ni 我爱你 Mandarin Chinese (and yeah, i can actually speak it, rather well actually) :)

Te Amo (spanish)

ik hou van jou (dutch)

jeg elsker dig. (danish)

Kocham cię (Polish)

Rwy’n dy garu di (Welsh).  Little known fact: Although I’m mostly Mexican, about a quarter of me is Welsh.  Sadly, I don’t speak either Spanish or Welsh, but if I had to choose, I secretly wish I spoke Welsh.

Je t’aime. (French)

…I can’t believe nobody reblogged with French yet. :(

uh…it’s “Je vous adore”. BTW.

While technically correct, Je vous adore uses the wrong verb (adorer =/= to love in the romantic sense) and the wrong person (2nd plural/formal instead of 2nd singular). You could say je vous adore to a bunch of kids/friends/whatnot, as you’d say “I love you guys” but in a romantic sense it just wouldn’t sound right.

It all depends on the context, really.

hmmm. yeah i can see that. by my teacher in high school of four years i’ve been forced to associate aimer with LIKE specifically and adorer for love.

I hadn’t thought of it that way, but I can totally see why a teacher would present it like that. Aimer counts as both like and love for the most part, so unless you’re talking about a person aimer/adorer sortof means like/love—like “j’aime les champignons” (I like mushrooms) and “j’adore les champignons” (I love mushrooms).

Just in case anyone else is wondering about the weird, scary language French is.

ya lublu teba (я люблю тебя) - Russian! (:
